MEAT THEORY IS CANCELLED TODAY. You dont even know how great this is. Garde Manger theory was canelled last week because Fisher was sick, and now Baechler is sick too. Whatever is going around I DO NOT want to catch it. With the schedule Ive got going for me its going to kill me to get sick.

So I couldnt shower this morning. Well, I could have - but the water was freezing and no one likes to take a cold shower. Im really not pleased about this not having a shower thing..Hopefully when I get to come home early tonight Ill have a nice warm shower. Cait probably used all the hot water..

I really have to start working on some of my other projects that are coming up very shortly. Ive got a speech that I have to have written for Friday, but that shouldnt take long because the speech is only supposed to be like 1 and half minutes long or something like that. I also have a purchasing assignment thats going to take a lot of work that Im not looking forward to doing and I also have a culinary professions assignment that Ive got to write out. For professions I basically just need to interview someone whos in the industry and write it out in interview style or whatever. I interviewed Chris Johnston. Hes my cousin Tristas boyfriend and he is pretty great. Hopefully I do well on the assignment because I cant afford to have lower marks than I had last semester. I didnt do horribly, but I would still like to do better. My gpa was 3.1 which isnt bad, but it could definatly be better.

I think Im going to take a nap.

Holy tits am I tired. Today is Thursday - which means that I have to be up and in class cutting stuff with sharp knives by 7 oclock in the morning. If I though getting up and getting to class for 8 was bad well this is just worse. I really should be in a class some like to call Culinary Professions, but I decided that it would be to my best interest to not go and have a nap. The nap probably wont happen though because Ill get distracted by something - but I cant say I didnt at least try.

So LOST was on last night. Yay for 2 hour season premiers. I really dont remember much that happened all I know is that it was absolutely fantastic. I didnt get to bed till around 1ish so that was a big fail on my part, but I had a great time.

We made our fresh egg pastas today and they were so awesome. My favourite was the Pesto Fettucine. It tasted pretty amazing and Im sure I will make it again sometime at home for my parents. My mom will probably try it, but she wont really like it. I know my dad will love it because he loves everything. I need to write out of recipe for bake whihc is tomorrow at 4-7 which basically sucks. Tomorrow is my longest day (9am-7pm) so that really sucks but we are making a sweet looking genoise cake tomorrow so I think its going to go swimmingly.

My parents are coming to visit on Saturday so Im pretty excited to see them. I should ask them to bring up my recipes from last semester .. but they might just take up space so I dont even know if Ill bother. Maybe I can convince them to buy me some groceries or something so that I dont have to spend my money on that later.

I burnt my finger 2 nights ago and it still hurts. There is a white blister type thing on my finger and it looks funny.

Sooshifish is so happy right now its not even funny. I think he is happier now than he has ever been - Even when he was living in Simcoe. I just changed his water and Allie and I mixed our rocks so now its all purple and green and it looks pretty cool. Hes just swimming around being cool and stuff and I think he is making a bubble thing - so thats really good. I love Sooshiefish.

I am king of the sea - but Im not aqua man.

So Im pretty tired right about now. Ive been up since about 6 oclock this morning - wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but it really wasnt the best thing in the world. 7am on Thursdays will still take some getting used to, but I figure if I can get myself to bed early enough I will still be able to function in the kitchen. We have finished our first two labs of semester 2 (Garde Manger and our Food Lab) They both went great and I didnt totally mess anything up. I enjoy being back in the kitchen and not laying around in my basement. For our first Garde Manger class we did some canning. We made a sweet strawberry jam, a spiced red pepper jelly, raspberry vinegar, lemon thyme oil, pickled onions, a pear raisin chutney, and a spice rub. It wasnt really all that difficult and we got to use the fancy new kitchen that is way bigger (well not really - it just seems like it) than our normal one, all the burners work on first try, and there is more work space. In our food lab today we made 4 different pasta dishes. We made a Penne Puttanessca, Pasta alla Carbonnera, Gnocchi Romaine, and Potato Gnocchi. It was a good time and it was the only time we were timed on our dishes other than the exam. That went well also. We were able to have parteners for the Gnocchi dishes and - of course - Amber and I were a team. I feel as though tomorrow is going to be a very long day .. but I think Allie, Cait, TonTon, and possibly Norm are going bowling at palasads so that will be fun. Im kind of nervous about bake lab because I think we have the intense teacher and bake has always been the one class where you really cant just "wing it".

R.E.S.P.E.C.T

BACK IN LONDON. The drive from Simcoe was absolutely horrible. The roads were covered in snow and it was snowing and my mom was driving in the car with me so she was basically nagging and complaining the whole way here. I drifted off the road at one point and I had to stop myself from laughing because my mom started to bitch me out and it was hilarious - I survived of course.

Allie, Norm, Cait, Bryan, and Leland were all here last night when I got here so Allie, Norm, Cait and I decided to drink for a bit and then we went and found Bryan and we were introduced to his new roommate "Matt" (I think thats his name) and he is a toolass. He is loud and swears a lot and he is one of those guys who just thinks he runs the place. Anyways - We were playing flip cup with him for a while then he leaves and hes like "later dumb bitches" or something like that - all I know is that he called us bitches and Bryan went nuts. Im pretty sure he would have punched him out in the hallway if Lelands friend Mark hadnt shown up and broken them apart. it was a good time..I think we finally all went to bed around 3:30.

I basically finished unpacking today. Got all my stuff where I want it to be and got all my binders organized for my classes that all suck a whole lot. I worked it out and Ive got a total of 32 hours of class each week which is so horrible - who thought it would be a good idea to give us that many hours of class? A dumbass thats who. But I think Ill get over it - all it means is less time having to hang around Tonya during the day.

Speaking of Tonya, shes now back from wherever she lives. Shes been here for maybe an hour and shes has already complained about something to each of us - But Im not surprised because I kind of expected it.

I should probably get my backpack ready for tomorrow .. even though I dont even start till 12.

My bambo is growing a new leaf thing on it - its yellow and great. Its one plant that I havent managed to kill yet. Go me. Sooshifish is also still alive. I thought for sure he would die over the break but I think that just made him even more awesome. I think he is loving life right now.

I am now going to play the sims because I havent in a long time and I really want to.

Operation Thunder Party

I move back to London tomorrow and I still havent managed to pack anything or get anything organized to go back. So tonight Im going to Toronto because my dad got us tickets to go see Dirty Dancing..Its going to be fun. Elisha and I didnt get any sleep last night because we decided to finish season 2 of nip/tuck - we didnt get to bed until like 8 oclock or something. It was awesome.

I have nothing else to say really .. I was just making a post because I had nothing else to do.
